Manchester is one of Richmond's most compelling urban stories, and The Overlook is one of its defining chapters.
Set within the post-industrial fabric of Richmond, Virginia's south side, The Overlook at City View + City View Row is a ground-up mixed-use development: five distinct buildings arranged on a walkable grid along 2½ blocks of Hull Street. Together they create a neighborhood of 120 lofts and apartments, 10 townhomes, and over 12,000 square feet of retail and mixed-use space, filling in the gaps along a stretch of Hull Street that has been underused for decades.
The architecture and urban design weave into the surrounding neighborhood, drawing from the scale and texture of Manchester's industrial past while carving out something new: a layered streetscape of landscaped plazas, courtyards, and outdoor dining that gives people a reason to stay outside. Inside, modern amenities for fitness, recreation, and community keep people connected to the neighborhood.
At 3.32 acres, The Overlook stitches Manchester back into the fabric of downtown Richmond. The result is a neighborhood within a neighborhood, with street-level energy on every block.
